This project adopts a comprehensive strategy focused on the preservation and enhancement of both the quality and quantity of protected areas, with a strong commitment to establishing Green Open Spaces (RTH) in Samarinda. The northern part of the city, specifically Samarinda Utara District, is envisioned as a future service hub that will accommodate key functions such as government, healthcare, and education services. This area is also crucial for water resource management, given its role as a water catchment zone. Additionally, the Unmul Samarinda Botanical Garden, located in Tanah Merah Village, Samarinda Utara, serves as a science and conservation center, with planned low-density residential developments surrounding it.

According to Government Regulation Number 24 of 2009 concerning Industrial Areas, the initiator is required to provide a minimum of 50 hectares of land in one area for the Industrial Area. The Industrial Zone with an area of 424 hectares is the core zone in the Bantuas Green Industrial area, because the designation used in this zone is an industrial area. The designation of land used in this zone is also in accordance with regional regulations in force in Samarinda City. The Industrial Zone will be used as several land uses including Industrial Areas, Water Folders and Green Open Spaces (RTH), with most of the land designation used as industrial areas.

The second zone in the Bantuas Green Industrial Area is the main infrastructure zone within the industrial area, due to the presence of a bulk port to support the accessibility of the industries that will operate there. The bulk port is planned to provide services up to the national level, crossing inter-provincial routes. This zone is also expected to become a potential public infrastructure for the people of Samarinda City, as it will serve as a general port. This zone has a total area of 42 hectares.

The core zone is a zone that is a sports field area with a designation as a golf course and will be the largest sports area in Samarinda City. The land use in this zone is also in accordance with regional regulations in force in Samarinda City. The Core Zone will be used for several land uses, including Public Service Facilities in the form of golf courses, Water Folders and Green Open Spaces (RTH), with most of the land use used as a golf course area.
