The core zone is a zone that is a sports field area with a designation as a golf course and will be the largest sports area in Samarinda City. The land use in this zone is also in accordance with regional regulations in force in Samarinda City. The Core Zone will be used for several land uses, including Public Service Facilities in the form of golf courses, Water Folders and Green Open Spaces (RTH), with most of the land use used as a golf course area.

The Core Zone is the main zone in the Bantuas Golf City area with the land use mostly being a sports area. Planning in terms of spatial patterns is the result of a study that takes into account many aspects, namely regional policies, physical conditions of the area and the wishes of the initiator. The results of spatial planning in the core zone produce several land uses, including:

1. Public Service Facility Area on a City Scale in the Form of a Golf Course with a total area of ​​130.23 Hectares
2. Water Body with a total area of ​​0.78 Hectares
3. Green Open Space with a total area of ​​1.78 Hectares

The core area is a very promising potential in a region, not only will it increase regional income but will also improve the welfare of the local community because it will create the potential need for human resources to become workers. Referring to the golf courses that already exist in some cities. Reflecting on the golf courses that have been operating in Bogor Regency, it is recorded that there are 1,500 people working in these sports facilities, this is an assumption that the densest 1,500 potential workers will be absorbed in the core zone
