Sambutan District is one of ten sub-districts in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province, located approximately 5 km east of the center of Samarinda City Government which was formed based on Samarinda City Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2010 with the following boundaries:
North: borders Sungai Pinang and North Samarinda Districts.
